Background and Credentials
I have been employed in various retail and service industries during my career. For the last sixteen years I have been dedicated to jewelry retail. While developing my skills I have joined several jewelry appraisal and educational organizations constantly striving to maintain and improve my knowledge of jewelry, gems and personal property. I received my Graduate Gemologist Degree (GG) from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA), an internationally recognized authority on gems. In addition to my GG, I am proud to have become a, Certified Gemologist Appraiser (CGA), bestowed upon me by The American Gem Society (AGS), which is also an internationally recognized authority for the industry. At present, there is no other appraiser in lower Alabama with this certification. Along with constantly reviewing and studying industry standards I attend the annual AGS conclave where skill workshops and seminars help maintain industry standards. In addition I have completed the Jewelry Appraisal Skill Assessment Examination administered by the Jeweler’s Vigilance Committee. I also have earned the Advanced Personal Property Appraiser certification through The Jewelers Education Foundation.

I have grown to appreciate the Mobile area for all it offers, its rich history, values, and traditions of charm. I have joined the Chamber of Commerce to become engaged with the community believing that service to one’s neighbors is as much a part of business as operating the business.
